They can also be reached through Dochula Pass, Bumthang, Jakar, Jigme Dorji National Park, Phobjikha, Talo, Trongsa, Ura, and Wangdue Phodrang.
Ans. Bhutan is best visited between March and May, when rhododendrons and other blossoming flowers fill the valleys with colour. This time of year, central Bhutan also hosts a number of fascinating traditional events.
Ans. Three routes exist for getting to Bhutan:

By Air: The sole airport in Bhutan that offers to-and-from flights is the Paro International Airport. Druk Airlines offers connecting flights to Pato from a number of locations, including Bangkok, Delhi, Kolkata, Bodhgaya, Bagdogra, Guwahati, Kathmandu, and Dhak.

By Road: Taxis and buses leave from Kolkata for the Jaigaon-Phuentsholing route. These modes of transport facilitate getting to the Bhutan border. Another option is to drive up to one of the three borders—Phuentsholing, Gelephu, or SamdrupJongkha—and obtain an entry permit there.

There are no direct trains from India to Bhutan, but you can take a train up to Siliguri, Hasimara, New Alipurduar, or New Jalpaiguri, from which you can take a bus or a cab to Phuentsholing.
Ans. Yes, if you intend to stay in Bhutan, you must pay the SDF (Sustainable Development Fee), which is required of all visitors and residents. All guests, with the exception of Indians, must pay a fee of $200 USD per person, per night. The SDF is INR 1200 per person, per night, for those with Indian passports.

Children under the age of five are exempt from paying this charge, and kids between the ages of 6 and 12 get a 50% concessionary reduction on their SDF.

Any person travelling to Bhutan on a day trip with an Indian passport who does not stay the night is excused from paying the SDF.
