The most favorable season is from the month of November to March when you can enjoy the sunbath, Christmas and New Year celebrations followed by the Goa carnival. This season is considered to be the most romantic for the couples who plan their honeymoon trip during this time of the year.

The summer season from March to June is very humid and hot as it experiences 42 degrees Celsius with fewer crowds. But the silverline is you will find huge discounts on the resorts and get to attend the Shigmo Festival and the Goa Cashew and Coconut Fest at this time.

Summer (March - May): During the summer months, expect plenty of sunlight and heat, starting in March and lasting until the first showers arrive around the end of May. Winter (November - February): The greatest time to visit Goa for couples searching for beach thrills, daily ocean swims, beautiful sunsets, and a culturally dynamic atmosphere is undoubtedly during the summer. Apart from the pleasant weather, these are Goa's festive months, with a variety of entertainment and leisure activities ranging from parties to parades, sightseeing to sunset gazing. Goa Travel Tips

In order to make your trip unforgettable, read over this helpful advice if you have already packed your bags.

Respect Holy Places and the Goan Culture

It is important to treat religious sites with respect and maintain appropriate behaviour while there. Before entering a place of worship, always take off your shoes or slippers.

Please turn your cell phones off or into silent mode before entering churches, temples, or museums.

Important Documents

If you are travelling with vital documents, such as a passport, licence, visa, etc., make sure to store them safely in the hotel room safes. Instead, while travelling, you should have attested copies of your passport, licence, and visa.

Money Matters

Avoid carrying huge amounts of cash; instead, bring plastic money, which is more practical, or traveler's checks, which can be easily exchanged in most places.

Photography

Before flashing your camera, check for signs that read "No pictures" or "Photography Restricted" as there are numerous locations, such as museums, where photography may be prohibited.

If you wish to snap a picture of someone else, please ask permission first. If you ask gently, most people won't say no.

It is advisable to snap a photo of a sign board with the name of the cave, temple, fort, or church you are visiting because it will be difficult to recall the name once you get home.

No to Drugs and Other Illegal Activities

Stay clear from drug possession and trade because they are forbidden in India. For any drug offence, there are harsh penalties and no bail in India. If you are found dealing in illicit commodities like animal skins, ivory, fur, or any other illegal goods, you could get into a lot of difficulty because you need a proper export licence or sale certificate before you can leave the nation. Additionally, it is illegal and criminal to deal in items created from rare or endangered animal species.

Planning to Rent a Car?

If you intend to operate a motorcycle or a rented car, bring your driver's licence with you. Do not disrespect the Goan traffic or breach any traffic laws when driving.

All fans of shopping know to travel to Goa. Visitors to the nation purchase a variety of goods each year, including handicrafts, jewellery, cashews, spices, alcohol, and wooden artefacts.
