Recommended Itinerary

Day 01 Arrival in Varanasi

Arriving in the holy city of Varanasi, you will be met at the airport or train station and taken to your hotel to start your tour. After dinner, you will go to the Ganges River ghats to see the famous Ganga Aarti, a captivating spiritual ceremony that is carried out at dusk with lamps and chanting. This ritual, which links guests to the age-old Hindu customs, is among the most famous and profound experiences in India. Following the Aarti, head back to your Varanasi accommodation for the night.

Day 02 Varanasi Temple Tour

Following breakfast, you will start your extensive temple tour of Varanasi with a visit to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, a major pilgrimage site and one of Lord Shiva's twelve Jyotirlingas. Next on your itinerary is a visit to the Annapurna Devi Temple, which honors the goddess of sustenance and food. Proceed to see Vishalakshi Devi Temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, and then Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple, which is renowned for granting the wishes of its followers. You will also visit the Birla Temple, Tulsi Manas Temple, and Durga Kund Temple, all of which are on the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) campus. Visit Sarnath in the afternoon, the location of Lord Buddha's first sermon delivered upon enlightenment. Buddhism places great emphasis on Sarnath, which is home to important sites including the Archaeological Museum and the Dhamek Stupa. After your overnight stay in Varanasi, head back to your accommodation.

Day 03 Varanasi to Bodhgaya (300km/6hrs)

One of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites in the world, Bodhgaya, will be reached via a picturesque drive after breakfast. When you get there, check into your accommodation and head to the Mahabodhi Temple, which is home to the Buddha's enlightenment under the Bodhi tree and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Thai Temple, which is well-known for its distinctive architecture and tranquil ambiance, will also be on your itinerary. The revered Bodhi Tree, a relic of the original tree where Buddha meditated, is a great place to spend some time. Offering serenity and introspection, Bodhgaya is a location of great spiritual significance. Be in Bodhgaya for the night.

Day 04 Bodhgaya to Varanasi (300km/6hrs)

Visit some of the most significant locations in Gaya after breakfast. The first stop should be the Vishnu Temple, also called Vishnupad Temple, a holy Hindu temple devoted to Lord Vishnu that is situated on the banks of the Falgu River. Legend has it that a rock inside the temple has the imprint of Lord Vishnu's foot. Additionally, you will go to the Chinese Temple, which showcases the Buddhist connections to China. You will drive back to Varanasi after visiting these holy and historical locations, where you will check into a hotel for the night.

Day 05 Varanasi to Prayagraj to Ayodhya (150km/3hrs - 200km/4hrs)

After breakfast on the fifth day, you will take a journey to Prayagraj, which was once known as Allahabad, to see the Triveni Sangam, one of the holiest sites in India. The Ganga, Yamuna, and the fabled Saraswati come together at the Sangam. Hindus believe that taking a bath at the Sangam during auspicious periods can lead to salvation. Along with this, you will see the magnificent Mughal fort of Prayagraj Fort, constructed by Emperor Akbar, the museum-turned-home of the Nehru family, Anand Bhawan, and the Bade Hanuman Ji Temple, which is renowned for its reclining statue of Lord Hanuman. Continue your travel to Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Rama, for an overnight stay after touring Prayagraj.

Day 06 Ayodhya to Varanasi (250km/4hrs)

You will spend the morning exploring the holy city of Ayodhya, which is rich in Lord Rama's history and mythology, after breakfast. The birthplace of Lord Rama, Ramjanmbhumi, is among the holiest places for Hindus, and this will be your first destination. Additionally, you will see Hanuman Garhi, an old temple to Lord Hanuman that provides sweeping city vistas. After seeing Kanak Bhavan, a palace shrine connected to Sita and Lord Rama, the journey continues to Lakshman Ghat on the Sarayu River, an important location in the epic Ramayana. This enlightening trip will come to an end when you drive back to Varanasi for your departure after seeing these significant holy sites.
