Overview

You will begin in Varanasi, where you will see the famous Ganga Aarti, go to Sarnath, and see well-known temples including Kashi Vishwanath. After there, the journey goes to Deoghar, the location of the Baidyanath Jyotirlinga, one of Lord Shiva's twelve hallowed Jyotirlingas. You will feel deeply connected to India's rich religious legacy through the itinerary's combination of spiritual exploration and tranquil settings.

Recommended Itinerary

Day 01Arrival in Varanasi (Kashi)

When you arrive at the train or airport in Varanasi, you will be met and taken to your hotel so you may check in. Once you have cleaned up, visit Sarnath, the place where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon after being enlightened, to start your spiritual journey. Explore the Ashokan Pillar, the Dhamek Stupa, and the Sarnath Museum, which has sculptures and artifacts from the ancient Buddhists. For the captivating Ganga Aarti ceremony, a lovely custom held on the banks of the Ganges River, head to Dashashwamedh Ghat in the evening. After that, spend the night back at your hotel.

Day 02 Varanasi Sightseeing

Start the day peacefully by taking a boat trip down the Ganges River, where you may observe religious rites being done along the ghats and view the dawn. Following that, pay a visit to one of India's holiest shrines, the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, which is devoted to Lord Shiva. Visit the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple, the Durga Temple, Tulsi Manas Mandir, Annapurna Temple, and other significant temples to continue your exploration. Visit the renowned Banaras Hindu University (BHU), which is significant both academically and culturally, later on. Check out the Indian art and history exhibits at the Bharat Kala Bhavan Museum while you're at BHU. After dinner, have some time to yourself. You can unwind at your hotel or go silk saree and handicraft shopping. For an overnight stay, head back to your hotel.

Day 03 Varanasi to Deoghar (Approx. 6-7 hrs drive)

Check out of your Varanasi accommodation after breakfast and head to Deoghar, a town renowned for its important pilgrimage sites. By late afternoon, get to Deoghar and register at your accommodation. To experience the calm atmosphere of Deoghar, spend the evening lounging or taking a stroll in its beautiful environs. Be in the hotel for the night.

Day 04 Deoghar (Baidyanath Temple Visit)

One of the 12 revered Jyotirlingas devoted to Lord Shiva is the Baidyanath Jyotirlinga Temple. Begin your day early by visiting it. It is a very significant religious site and a popular pilgrimage site. Visit the Naulakha Temple, renowned for its elaborate architecture, after which take a short trip to the Basukinath Temple. Discover the spiritual and gorgeous Tapovan Caves and Trikut Hills, perfect for people looking for adventure and expansive views. You can unwind and think back on your day's events during your free evening. Head back to your hotel and spend the night there.

Day 05Deoghar to Varanasi (Return Journey)

After breakfast, depart from your Deoghar accommodation and start the drive back to Varanasi. You will conclude your spiritual experience when you are left off at the train or airport to continue on your journey.
