Following this, the journey will continue as you walk for around 5-6 kilometres or ride a pony, doli, or horse to Yamunotri (excluded the payments). There is a rock pillar named "Divyashila" close to the Yamunotri shrine.
The suryakund, where prasadam is prepared using the lake's hot water, is the first gathering place in Yamunotri (which is riped potatoes & rice).
