Recommended Itinerary

Day 01 Reunion

You will be welcomed upon arrival in Reunion and driven to your accommodation. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to see grand vistas, breathtaking vantage points, charming coastal cities, and breathtaking forests. The rest of the day is free. Dinner and sleeping at the Reunion hotel.

Day 02 Reunion

leaving for the volcano early. The natural warmth of volcanic landscapes will rapidly alter the chilly morning air. Roads in the West lead to a beach where tranquil coasts are broken by sharp cliffs till Saint-Pierre. The ascent to the Plaine des Cafres plateaus and the Grande Ferme starts here. The scenery will include gentians, villages, pastures, cows, and woodlands up till "Nez de Boeuf" at 2 070 m. A perplexing valley, 22 km of geological wonders, can be found here.

Day 03 Reunion

Early departure from the hotel at 7:00 a.m. for Maido's Peak is required after breakfast. After a remarkable 27 km hike, you will have ascended to 2,200 m above sea level! As you continue your ascent, the scenery changes to include villages, acacia forests, geranium fields, a classic tamarind forest, and ultimately the edge of Mafate Cirque. The sightseers discover an amazing and lovely island! Distances are tough to quantify because everything is so amazing here! On the way home, make a stop at a geranium essential oil manufacturer to learn about Creole traditions connected to free-living in addition to the perfume of the oil.

Day 04 Reunion

Travel to the South West after breakfast at the hotel. It couldn't be more spectacular as they passed into Saint-Louis, with its industries, mosques, Hindu temples, and church. Then there are the forests that seem to have come from a Brothers Grimm fairy tale, deep ravines, and volcanic summits with jagged teeth. Swirling banks of cloud occasionally add a surreal element. The undeniable charm of this region is topped off with a delightful scattering of isolated hamlets. The Cirque de Cilaos is a tough competitor for outdoor enthusiasts.

Day 05Reunion

Check out of the hotel by noon following breakfast. Our local representative will meet you in the foyer of your hotel for a seat-in-coach transfer to the airport in time for your departing flight.
