Recommended Itinerary

Day 01 Arrival. Reception at Srinagar airport/bus station

Our representative cum driver will meet you at the Srinagar airport or bus station and transport you to Aru via Pahalgam for an overnight stay in a tented camp. In the evenings, we sip tea or kahwa before dinner. The travel through Pahalgam takes no more than 4 hours to cover the 120 kilometer route. Before beginning the hike, Aru is the last village having a market.

Day 02 Aru to Lidderwat

Second day of Kashmir tour package from indore, a moderate ascent from Aru to Lidderwat, covering 10 kilometers in 6 hours and gaining 342 metres in altitude. Half an hour before Lidderwat, look for two clean streams and a wooden bridge. Across the Lidder River, we also pass through Nandkei Gujjar nomad communities. We may explore the meadows and clear streams that meander through Lidderwat after we arrive, which is a truly delightful experience. At Lidderwat, set up camp for the night.

Day 03 Lidderwat to Sekhwas

Third day of Kashmir tour packages from indore, we climb 480 metres in 5 hours while trekking to Sekhwas, covering a distance of 6 kilometres. The trail is largely uphill, with some flat areas and one river crossing along the way. We will reach large sweeping grasslands after travelling through pine trees and some intermittent clearings, which are formed by the merging of various valleys that meet here. The trail quickly ascends through a few Gujjar cottages to the Sekhwas camping area. Sekhwas is a good place to set up camp for the night.

Day 04 Shekwas to Tarsar

Fourth day of Kashmir tour from indore, tarsar is reached through a gentle rise through lush grasses, a few ridges, and eventually the lake's beach. Tarsar Lake is 5 kilometers above Sekhwas and takes 4 hours to reach with a 518-meter elevation increase. This campsite is literally beautiful on earth, with azure blue water surrounded by lush meadows and snow-capped hills. Tarsar is a great place to stay for the night.

Day 05 Tarsar to Sundersar

Fifth day of Kashmir package from indore, the walk to Sundersar is 5 kilometres long and takes 5 hours to complete, including a pass crossing. A walk to Marsar, a locked lake nestled inside a cauldron with steep sides, is attempted by some trekkers. The walk begins with a strong elevation, then descends before ending with a gradual ascent to the picturesque Sundarsar tiny lake. Long tracts of meadow spread around the lake, blooming yellow, blue, and white flowers. Sundarsar features large, flat sections that are ideal for camping.

Day 06 Visit Marsar, and get down to Sonamasti

The trek begins with a climb to Marsar, which is located at an elevation of 4100 metres. We hike through the adjacent meadows before descending to 3400 metres. In around 6 hours, the trip covers a distance of approximately 8 kilometres. The Sonamasti valley is a 600-meter plunge across a series of meadows. Each of these meadows has a small stream that flows down from the cliff when snow melts and forms a clear pond before cascading down the cliff as a waterfall. With little streams, brooks, and verdant pastures, the Sonamasti valley bottom is once again a stunning work of nature's creation. At Sonamasti, set up camp for the night.

Day 07 Sonamasti to Sumbal

Take the road to Srinagar. From Sonamasti to Surfraw, descend 1370 meters and 11 kilometers. We can get to Sumbal in around 5 hours if we get up early. The trek comes to a finish at Surfraw Sumbal. Sumbal to Srinagar is a three-hour trip.

Day 08 Departure day

For your departure, our representative will drop you off at the airport or bus station.
