Staying on Kashmir's charming houseboats is only worth the experience. In contrast to hotels, houseboats have a few restrictions, like no means of transportation between the houseboat and the mainland, a small menu, sporadic power and water supplies, etc.
The Horseman's Union of Gulmarg forbids any kind of vehicle from dropping off or picking up visitors from the gondola. The union also forbids all sightseeing tours.
Due to restrictions by the local transport union, Aru Valley, Chandanwari, and Betaab Valley at Pahalgam are not included in the itinerary (unless included).
You each have an hour to take in Pahalgam's gorgeous snow-capped mountains and the verdant Aru, Betab, and Chandanwadi valleys. You would have to pay the appropriate additional amount to the driver/taxi union if you wanted to explore these areas for an extended period of time.
The only cars permitted for use for sightseeing in Pahalgam and Sonmarg are those assigned by the local unions; these cars might not meet the standard expected in other parts of India.
The road to Sonmarg is closed in the winter, and cars can only travel as far as Gagangir.
We will drive the visitor to the Sonmarg taxi stand so they can enjoy the sightseeing in Sonmarg. The visitor must then hire a pony or local union taxi to continue their sightseeing. The tour does not visit Thajwas Glacier or Zero Point at Sonmarg because of local union regulations.
Some hotels may seem run-down because new construction is prohibited in Gulmarg, Pahalgam, and a few other parts of Srinagar, including Dal Lake and Boulevard Road. You can be sure that these hotels offer first-rate amenities and service.
