Recommended Itinerary

Day 01 Airport Pickup, Guwahati to Nameri (240km/5hrs)

Upon your arrival at the airport or train station in Guwahati, our agent will meet you and assist you in finding your reserved car. You will then embark on a scenic 240 km journey to Nameri, which will take approximately 5 hours. The drive will offer you a glimpse of the beautiful landscapes of Assam. Upon arrival in Nameri, check into your hotel. Spend the evening relaxing and enjoying the natural surroundings. Have dinner and settle in for a restful night at the hotel.

Day 02Nameri to Dirang (160Km/6hrs)

Early in the morning, you will be transported to Nameri National Park. Explore the Nameri Tiger Reserve, which is part of Project Tiger. The park is home to over 300 species of birds, including the rare and endangered "White Winged Wood Duck." You might also spot tigers, as well as a diverse range of fish, animals, and reptiles. After breakfast, adventurous travelers can go tracking and smooth-water rafting on the Jia Borali River. Following these activities, we will travel to Dirang, the entrance to Arunachal Pradesh, "the land of the rising sun." The journey will take you through gorgeous landscapes featuring waterfalls, misty rivers, and valleys. Once you arrive in Dirang, check into your hotel for a cozy overnight stay.

Day 03Dirang to Tawang (145Km/7hrs)

After breakfast, explore the little hill station of Dirang in the West Kameng district. Its breathtaking scenery and exquisite environment will undoubtedly delight your senses and soothe your body and spirit. We shall see the tranquil land as we visit Kalachakra Gompa, commonly known as Dirang Monastery. Visit the kiwi orchards before heading to Dirang Dzong, a fort approximately 150 years old, which offers a superb perspective of the surroundings. Later, continue to Tawang, where the Kameng River flows across a mountain curve. The second-highest motorable pass in the world, Sela Pass, is at 13,700 feet above sea level and is adorned with colorful flags. Along the way, be sure to visit the Jaswant Garh Memorial-cum-Mandir and the magnificent 100-meter-high Nuranang Falls (Bong Bong Falls). After this heart-pounding and soul-stirring adventure, arrive in Tawang for a warm and cozy overnight stay.

Day 04Tawang Sightseeing (70km/6hrs)

After breakfast, embark on a holiday tour of Tawang Monastery (Galden Namgyal Lhatse), the largest Buddhist monastery in India and Asia, which dates back about 350 years to the 17th century. Investigate historic relics associated with the Tawang Monastery and the Mompa tribe. Take in the stunning vista of Tawang Township while surrounded by towering mountains. The Tawang War Memorial is a stunning stupa erected in honor of the gallant troops who gave their lives during the Sino-Indian War in 1962. Bring home a traditional mask made by Mompa and a carpet woven by local women as a memento from Craft Center Emporium. In the evening, savor a sound and light spectacle. Return to your Tawang hotel for the night after this enriching experience.

Day 05Around Tawang Sightseeing (150km/7hrs)

After breakfast, begin your day with a magnificent view of Shonga-tser Lake, also known as Madhuri Lake. The lake is encircled by snow-capped mountains, and the valley provides an amazing vista. Proceed to Bum La Pass, which is located 37 km from Tawang and marks the border between India and China at an elevation of 15,200 feet above sea level. Visit Heart Lake, PTSO Lake, and Naghula Lake on your way back; these stops will brighten your day for sure. After this adventurous day, head back to your Tawang hotel for a cozy night's rest.

Day 06Tawang to Bomdila (185Km/8hrs)

After breakfast, depart for Bomdila. Along the way, visit the newly founded Bomdila Monastery, which was established in 1965. Discover more than 5000 orchid varieties at Tipi Orchidarium, including some of the rarest orchid species. Enjoy a breathtaking view of Bomdila from Bomdila View Point and take in the spectacular beauty of the area. Spend the evening exploring the local market. After a day of sightseeing and shopping, return to your hotel in Bomdila for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 07Bomdila to Guwahati, Airport Drop (350km/8hrs)

After breakfast, drive back to Guwahati, covering a distance of 350 km, which will take approximately 8 hours. Enjoy the scenic journey back. Upon arrival in Guwahati, we will drop you off at the airport, ensuring you have plenty of time for your scheduled flight. This concludes your memorable tour, leaving you with wonderful memories of Northeast India.
