Recommended Itinerary

Day 01 Airport Pickup, Guwahati to Nameri (240km/5hrs)

Upon your arrival at Guwahati International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and assist with your transfer to Nameri National Park, approximately 240 kilometers away. The drive takes around 5 hours through scenic landscapes. Nameri National Park is known for its rich biodiversity, including tigers, leopards, and bears, making it a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. It is also renowned as a birdwatcher's paradise. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy activities such as trekking in the national park to spot wildlife and river rafting on the Jia Bhoroli River. Spend the night at Nameri.

Day 02Nameri to Dirang (160Km/6hrs)

After an early breakfast, embark on a journey to Dirang Valley. This picturesque valley, located in the foothills of the Himalayan range, is renowned for its natural beauty and cultural heritage. Dirang is known for its birdwatching opportunities, ancient monasteries, Dirang Dzong (fort), historic buildings, an old electrical mill, and Tibetan settlements. En route, visit the nearby hot spring, which is a popular attraction for its therapeutic properties. Upon arrival in Dirang, check into your hotel. Spend the evening exploring the local area and enjoying the serene environment. Overnight stay in Dirang.

Day 03Dirang to Tawang (145Km/7hrs)

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast before departing for Tawang. On the way, stop to visit the hot spring located just outside Dirang Valley. Continue your journey with a stop at the Army canteen and dosa point in Vaisakhi for a quick refreshment. The route to Tawang includes several stunning locations such as the War Memorial at Jaswantgarh, Paradise Lake (Sela Lake), and the Sela Pass, which at 13,700 feet, is the second-highest motorable pass in the world, adorned with colorful prayer flags. Before reaching Tawang, visit the breathtaking Nuranang Waterfalls. Upon arrival in Tawang, check into your hotel for a restful night.

Day 04Tawang Sightseeing (70km/6hrs)

After breakfast, set out to explore Tawang’s local attractions. Start with the Tawang War Memorial, a poignant reminder of the soldiers who fought during the Sino-Indian War in 1962. Visit the Craft Center and Emporium to see traditional crafts and artifacts. Next, head to the Apple Garden and the birthplace of the Sixth Dalai Lama. One of the highlights of the day is the visit to Tawang Monastery, the second-largest monastery in Asia, also known as Galden Namgyal Lhatse. Enjoy the scenic views from the ropeways to the Nun Monastery. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 05Around Tawang Sightseeing (150km/7hrs)

After breakfast, embark on a full day of sightseeing around Tawang. Visit some of the most breathtaking locations in the area, including Heart Lake, PTSO Lake, and Nagula Lake. Continue to Y Junction and Sangester Lake, also known as Madhuri Lake, named after the Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit who shot a movie here. The highlight of the day is the visit to Bum La Pass, located at an elevation of 15,200 feet near the India-China border. Note that visiting Bum La Pass requires a minimum 3-day stay in Tawang for permits. After a day of exploration, return to your hotel for a cozy overnight stay.

Day 06Tawang to Bomdila (185Km/8hrs)

After breakfast, depart for Bomdila, situated along the route back towards Nameri. Bomdila is known for its beautiful monastery, which was established in 1965. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and then explore the local attractions, including orchid farms, apple orchards, and the Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary. Visit the Bomdila View Point for a panoramic view of the town and surrounding landscapes. Spend the evening exploring the local market, where you can shop for souvenirs and enjoy local cuisine. Overnight stay in Bomdila.

Day 07Bomdila to Tezpur, Tezpur Sightseeing (150km/5hrs)

In the morning, head towards Tezpur, a heritage city in Northeast India known as Assam's Cultural Capital. Located on the northern bank of the Brahmaputra River, Tezpur boasts a rich history and cultural heritage. Visit Agnigarh, a historic site with legendary tales, and several Lord Shiva temples. Enjoy the sunset view over the Brahmaputra River from the Kolia-Bhumura Bridge. Explore the beautiful gardens in Tezpur. Check into your hotel in Tezpur for an overnight stay.

Day 08Tezpur to Guwahati, Airport Drop (210km/4hrs)

After breakfast, drive back to Guwahati, covering a distance of 210 kilometers in approximately 4 hours. If time permits, visit one or two of Guwahati’s tourist attractions before heading to the airport. Our representative will ensure you reach Guwahati Airport in time for your departure, concluding your memorable tour with wonderful memories of Northeast India.
