Recommended Itinerary

Day 01 Airport Pickup, Guwahati to Nameri (240km/5hrs)

Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport, our representative will greet you and assist you to your assigned car. We will drive 240 km to Nameri National Park, taking approximately 5 hours. Upon arrival, check into your resort/hotel and settle in for the night. Nameri is home to Assamese tribes like the Bodo and Mishing. Spend the night at Nameri.

Day 02Nameri to Dirang (160Km/6hrs)

After breakfast, enter Nameri National Park to observe tigers, birds, and other wildlife. The park is home to over 300 species of birds, including the endangered "White Winged Wood Duck." Experience Project Tiger and enjoy river rafting on the Jia Bhoroli River. After lunch, travel to Dirang via the ancient trade route through the Arunachal Pradesh Himalayas. At 4910 feet, Dirang is a stunning valley inhabited by the Gidu or Monpa communities. Check into your hotel in Dirang Valley for the night.

Day 03Dirang to Tawang (145Km/7hrs)

After breakfast, explore the charming hill station of Dirang. Visit Dirang Monastery (Kalachakra Gompa) to experience its tranquility, and the kiwi orchards. Observe the 150-year-old Dirang Dzong (fort). Continue your journey to Tawang across the 13,700-foot-high Sela Pass, the second-highest motorable road in the world. Stop at Jaswant Garh, a shrine and memorial of a renowned Indian soldier, and admire Nuranang Falls. Check into your hotel in Tawang for an overnight stay.

Day 04Tawang Sightseeing (70km/6hrs)

After breakfast, visit Tawang Monastery (Galden Namgyal Lhatse), the largest Buddhist monastery in Asia. Explore the Tawang Museum, which houses ancient relics of the Mompa people and Tawang Monastery. Visit the Tawang War Memorial, a stunning stupa built in honor of the Indian soldiers who died in the Sino-Indian War of 1962. Shop for traditional masks and exquisite carpets at Craft Center Emporium. Enjoy the twilight light and sound display. Return to your hotel in Tawang for an overnight stay.

Day 05Around Tawang Sightseeing (150km/7hrs)

After breakfast, explore the scenic surroundings of Tawang. Visit Heart Lake, PTSO Lake, Sangetsar Lake, Naghula Lake, and if feasible, Bum La Pass, the Indo-Chinese border. Visit nearby tribal villages to learn about their culture. Return to your hotel in Tawang for an overnight stay.

Day 06Tawang to Bomdila (185Km/8hrs)

After breakfast, travel to Bomdila, located at an elevation of 8000 feet. Check into your hotel and explore Bomdila, known for its panoramic views of snow-capped mountains and Himalayan scenery. Visit the Bomdila Monastery and the beautiful apple orchards. Spend the night at Bomdila.

Day 07Bomdila to Itanagar (320Km/10hrs)

Early in the morning, check out and travel to Itanagar, the state capital of Arunachal Pradesh. The 10-hour journey offers beautiful views along the way. Visit any potential sightseeing locations en route. In the evening, check into your hotel in Itanagar for an overnight stay.

Day 08Itanagar to Ziro (130Km/7hrs)

After breakfast, visit the local market and museum in Itanagar. Then travel the picturesque, hilly roads to Ziro. Visit a Tribal Nyishi village en route to witness their unique bamboo building. Check into your hotel in Ziro for the night.

Day 09Ziro Sightseeing (50Km/6hrs)

After breakfast, spend the day sightseeing in Ziro, situated 5754 feet above sea level. Visit the Apatani tribal communities of Diibo, Hija, Bulla, Hari, and Hong. The Apatani tribe is known for their nose rings and body art. Return to your hotel in Ziro for the night.

Day 10Ziro to Daporijo (165Km/7hrs)

Travel to Daporijo, a vibrant tribal community, meeting point of the Adi-Gallongs, Tagins, and Hill Miris tribes. Visit the villages of Nyishi and Tagin en route. Check into your hotel in Daporijo for the night.

Day 11Daporijo to Along (170Km/7hrs)

After breakfast, head to Along, situated on the banks of the Siang River. Along is the land of the Adi tribe, the most populous tribe in Arunachal Pradesh. Check into your hotel in Along for the night.

Day 12Along Sightseeing (7hrs)

Spend the day exploring the Adi villages in Along. Immerse yourself in the local culture and traditions. Return to your hotel in Along for the night.

Day 13Along to Pasighat (130Km/7hrs)

Travel to Pasighat, the oldest town in Arunachal Pradesh, known for its scenic beauty. Check into your hotel in Pasighat for the night.

Day 14Pasighat to Dibrugarh

After breakfast, drive to Dibrugarh. Take a ferry across the vast Brahmaputra River. Check into your hotel in Dibrugarh for the night.

Day 15Dibrugarh to Tengapani (180Km/8hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Tezu, stopping at various Mishmi tribe villages along the way. Spend the evening in Tengapani.

Day 16Parasuramkund & Namsai Sightseeing (150Km/8hrs)

After breakfast, tour the tribal settlements in Tengapani. Visit the Holy Parshuram Kund, where Hindu pilgrims bathe to atone for their sins. Return to your hotel in Tengapani for the night.

Day 17Tengapani to Dibrugarh (180km/8hrs)

After breakfast, drive back to Dibrugarh, visiting other tribes along the way. Check into your hotel in Dibrugarh for an overnight stay.

Day 18Dibrugarh, Airport Drop (40km/1hrs)

After breakfast, our representative will pick you up from your hotel and drop you off at Dibrugarh Airport, concluding your memorable journey through Arunachal Pradesh.
