You could feel the need for some fresh air to unwind after a day of stressful activity. You can spend your vacation exploring the fascinating historical landmarks and famous spots in Bhubaneswar, Puri, and Konark. While Puri is renowned for its religious majesty and Konark is renowned for its architectural skill, Bhubaneswar is well-known throughout the world for its handicrafts. Upon arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport/Railway Station, transfer to Puri and a stop at the Sun Temple, Chandrabhaga Beach (Orissa's cultural and traditional identity, known for its long stretch of golden sand bordered by casuarinas), and Ramachandi Temple. The Sun Temple is one of the Seven Wonders of India and is a World Heritage Site. Check into the hotel after that, and spend the night in Puri.
After breakfast, head to Chilika Lake, which covers an area of 1,100 sq km and is Asia's largest brackish water lake. Many magnificent migratory birds congregate around the lake during the winter. Watching the sunrise and the sunset is beautiful). Visit the Irrawaddy Dolphins, the Sea Mouth (the point where the sea and lake meet), Virgin Island, and Birds Island upon arrival in Satapara. Then return to Puri, spend the afternoon visiting the famous Jagannath Temple from the 12th century (one of the four dams; only Hindus are permitted inside the premises of the Jagannath Temple), take in the amazing sunset views at Golden Beach, go shopping if you'd like, then return to your hotel for the night so you can fully enjoy Puri.
Check out of the hotel and drive to Bhubaneswar after breakfast. Along the way, stop at Pipili (Applique Work Village), Dhauligiri (also known as "Peace Pagoda"), and Lingaraj Temple (Dedicated to Harihara, a combination of Lord Shiva and Vishnu, this temple was built in the 11th century), which are all well-known Buddhist sites in India.
